Gene Error Tracking Thread

There's some housekeeping on the way! Over the next couple of weeks we will be reviewing the current gene art errors tracking thread, comparing it with our internal documentation, and then compiling a list of known and confirmed to be active gene art errors. To be clear: This process has already begun, but it is significant given the number of reports that aren't errors or have already been fixed, and we don't want to rush it, which is why it won't be ready immediately for perusal. When it is ready, the new Gene Error Tracking thread will be locked and stickied at the top of the bug reports forum.

What can you expect going forward? To start, we are temporarily locking the [Art] Incorrect Gene Colors thread so that we've can fully compile existing errors from it. Once we have finished and the Gene Error Tracking thread has been posted, we will unsticky the old thread, and replace it with a new Gene Error Reporting thread where new reports that are not present in the Gene Error Tracking thread may be posted for us to look into. We realize the gene error process is opaque and this has been confusing for many of you. Our goal is to reduce some of that opacity with these new threads so you know what to expect when planning your breeding projects and applying genes to your dragons. Thank you for your feedback, and for your patience while we work on a clearer tracking thread and reporting method!

Hello! Today marks the end of the Autumn fest- next holiday even is in October when the Bakeneko come down from the shrine to celebrate halloween.

on another note I do apologize for the lack of updates recently, I was really bummed at all the work I put into the Autumn fest all of the month of July and no one was playing. SO I got a bit depressed and Stopped working on the site for a while-

Sorry.  If I can be candidly honest It can be REALLY REALLY hard to find motivation to work on the site sometimes... as well as frusterating and difficult. Im a one person team right now that CANNOT actually code. So I cant give you guys things and features I would love to give you.. But I do try my best.  And I definately appreciate those of you who continue to stick with me.. and the people who can code who help me out when I break things.

Im doing the best I can on my own with little feedback. So that will have to be good enough right?

I love you all and this isnt meant to be a Sympathy post or anything.

I am back to work on stuff... and I will keep doing what I can while we wait for help/people to finish features for you all. I will always be here. And I will NEVER truly give up on Atrocity... so dont worry- It will exist as long as I do.

And something super helpful if you dont mind helping is to tell your friends and help me advertise If you love my site as I do, help me get more people who will also love it.. If theres more active users- Im sure it will be more fun to be on. So Id appreciate the help.

Hope your week is moving right along. Only two more days till' the weekend!! We thought we would drop in and show everyone the transformation that the Requien had! We have the our Requien from 2015 and the Requine as we know it today °What do you think about the transformation?

What are those markings, you might be asking???

Well, the Requien's markings have been rumored to date back for hundreds of years. Some believe the shapes and symbols represent the pet's inately deep spiritual sense. With it's undying loyalty, some pet owners look at the Requien as a spirit guide. Others believe that the markings are used for a special type of aerodynamic flight. They use this beautiful pet as a guide in the woods, as they can fly higher than any other animal on Casius. Whether you enjoy the pet's loyalty, cunningness or just the deep mystery behind it's past, having one of the Requiens as a pet will sure be an advantage in any adventure you embark on!

We have received some really good fan art of our beloved Requien, so far. If you have inspiration to draw this pet, we would LOVE for you to enter it into our fan art contest! Remember, you have until Saturday at 8 pm EST to submit your art, and you can submit it in the contest section of the forums.

Art Submission Guidelines

The updated Art Submission Guidelines are live! These now reside on their own pages, allowing us to better explain each guideline, and leaving Free Play less cluttered.

The changes to grading are as follows:
- Defined the difference between a "Simple Character" and a "Standard Character" for 2D and 3D art
- Added "Simple Character" as an image size option alongside Headshot/Half Body/Full Body for 2D and 3D art
- Redefined "Lineart" grading to include clean, well-defined lineless works for 2D art
- Added rendered "Painting" as a higher value grading in the Coloring section for 2D art
- Removed "Companion" prop option for 2D and 3D art ¢ grade approved Companions as you would a Lythian character
- Models without texture or paint may now be submitted for currency (previously worth 0)

More examples for visual grading definitions are planned for the future.

The ARPG Submission calculator has been updated to reflect these changes!
