While Terrafrost has been busying itself with the ongoing fight between the Ancients and Mythicals, a new Pet rises from the shadows! The mighty Ancient Dovu has arrived, ready to stretch their wings and take to the skies.



If you wish to add this formidable Pet to your family, the Ancient Dovu Morphing Potion can be obtained from the Plot Store for 5 Plot Points. It will also be available in the I.C.E Shop for 500 IC (450 for Gold Account Users) until the end of the month.

It looks like the Ancient Dovu isn't the only new Ancient arrival however -- some concerned Terrafrostians have noticed the old Mythical Novyn Statue seems to have been replaced by a new face, the old one nowhere to be found! Who could have been behind this, Terrafrostians wonder...

Happy Update day! Today we are launching quite a few new additions that will take some time to read. Be sure to read everything below and make use of the linked help site pages.

¢¨ Straws, Eggs, and Embryos!

Hold onto your horses and don¢t go too wild yet! Because eggs and straws are a new large game feature there's quite a bit to read and absorb in this post and the help site. Before we start, take a deep breath and maybe do a few stretches.

Adding in straws and eggs has taken quite a bit of research, planning, and coding. The overall idea of eggs and straws is to allow players to preserve certain lines from prized mares and stallions for use in the future. This also opens up the door for brood mares which could potentially increase the number of foals you get from a prized mare or stallion over its lifetime. 

There are plenty of aspects that go into straw and egg breeding in real life. So many so it would be overly complicated to implement every aspect in-game while also making it player friendly. We have simplified the use of straws and eggs in a few ways to ensure a close to real life experience but also not so much so it makes game play unenjoyable. This is designed to be as easy as possible for you to incorporate into your breeding program.

Overall there's are a few basic steps to the process:

1. Retrieval of straw or egg.

2. Optional embryo creation (straw + egg made in lab).

3. Using a straw or embryo.

4. Bam! Foal is born!

Each of these steps have some aspects to understand about them to consider before going wild straw/egg/embryo breeding. Please read everything in this help site post thoroughly and feel free to ask any questions in the help forum or our Discord #help channel. Our team is usually always available for you and happy to answer as this is probably (Let's be real, it is) a lot to take in.

¢ Unverified Accounts & Emails

From now on, all accounts not verified within 7 days of registration will be deleted. If you have a non-verified account you want to keep, you must verify it within the next 7 days or it will be deleted. A resend verification link has been added to the verification process and all of the site is now locked down until your account is verified. The latest to verify an account created before this news post is February 6th and 6PM EST/Gametime. 

Accounts that have their email changed must now re-verify the account. All accounts also must now have their own email. Having 2 accounts using the same email is no longer allowed when editing.  

¢­ Changes

• Accounts can now freeze as often as they like. The 8 day limitation between freezing has been removed.

• Wording for freezing accounts has been adjusted to reflect changes.

• The Contact Staff page now has info on it if you ever need to message staff.

• The Lab page now has icons for both the Breeding Clinic and Custom Generator.

• The Custom Generator now has a fancy top banner.

• Notifications and bank transactions are now deleted after 30 days.

• There is now a Cooldowns section on the horse¢s page showing breeding, training, and retrieval cooldowns.

• Retrievals have been added to the Breeding tab in Herd Management.

° Bug Fixes

• We have fixed the horse market bug that randomly kicked horses from the market.

°® Upcoming

Expect February's art update to include art for the generic stock horse base. Also, next month, we will be focusing on associations and clubs!

What was once intended to be a peaceful and loving alliance has taken a drastic turn! From the very beginning of Amourok festivities, the Mythical and Ancient pets had been working together in preparation in blissful harmony. Xaric the Mythical Novyn insisted she'd had nothing to do with it, but to no avail, and near immediately did the conflict escalate beyond repair. Now the alliance is in shambles, and despite their shared interests, the tension between the Mythical and Ancient Pets is higher than ever.



With the coalition split, it's safe to assume that this year's Amourok will be dealing with a Clash of Colors once again! To join a team, just head on over to the Amourok Sign Up page -- it looks like both of the team leaders are eagerly awaiting your arrival.

Once you choose your team, you'll earn points for them by collecting Empty Heart Fragments! You can find them in NPC Shops, Heart Breaker, or receive them as rewards in Quests. You can also combine Heart Fragments by visiting your chosen Team Leader, and receive Full Hearts -- Full Archaic Hearts if you've sided with Ancient Pets, or Full Legendary Hearts if you're on the Mythical team -- as a reward! Already-assembled hearts can also be found in the same places as Fragments, but they will be placed very sparsely.
